A MESSAGE FROM MARY MCGRATH
Happy winter season! ....or is winter a signal for just the opposite? Perhaps with some attitude realignment there is possibility for finding satisfaction in the cold days ahead.
Holidays bring the familiar traditions with family and friends. The cold weather ushers in new opportunities for sports enthusiasts. Shorter days and longer nights invite focus on indoor sports as well as hobbies tossed aside during the brighter days of spring, summer and fall.
May we all find joy and opportunity to renew relationships and discover new activities during the winter season.
Winter Wellness? Why Not?
During the frosty times ahead why not warm up physically and mentally with some winter wellness? For example:
W - Walk outside or even shoe shoe at a nearby park or nature center. Enjoy window shopping? - walk a mall and watch what catches your eye.
I - Interests - Consider exploring crafts, hobbies or music overlooked in past seasons.
N - Nap or meditate to rest the mind and recharge the batteries.
T - Talk about your concerns. Find time to talk to an old friend or confidant about issues that weigh you down.
E - Eat popcorn by the fire and relax.
R - Read an escape book set in a warm spot.
